Justin Fields appears able to produce right away in 2021 as per his pre-draft resume suggested. Watch as Fields hits veteran backup TE Jesse James on a TD on what appeared to be broken coverage.
So, sure, it isn't the most impressive play you've ever seen. But, and this is critical, the Chicago QB didn't fall all over himself while simultaneously under-performing. That alone has to seem like a huge victory for the fans of the Chicago Bears franchise.
Given the lack of real talent ahead of him, all signs point to Fields starting sooner rather than later. He's an ideal late-round QB option in redraft leagues. Seems to me the window to buy Fields in dynasty has been firmly slammed closed.
